Fenced-In Felix

Having read the previous novel in this series by Cheyenne Blue I was so looking forward to ‘Fenced-in-Felix. I was not disappointed. Felix runs an outback experience business which includes a campsite, cabins and horse riding. She becomes friends with the new barmaid from the local pub, Josie, through their love of horses.  They are both attracted to each other but move so very slowly and really need a bit of a nudge in the right direction.  Friends Sue and Moni are the ones to provide that nudge. I loved that they were in this book too as their story from ‘Not-so-straight-Sue’ was fantastic. They bring visitors from England, Nora and Geraldine  and it is then that a mystery starts to unfold. As Felix begins to look into this it brings a new dynamic to her relationship with Josie that I was not expecting. The tension between them is so well written and I found myself becoming annoyed at both of them. I defy anyone not to be frustrated by their stubbornness! I really appreciated that this story was a mixture of romance and mystery as it really added to my enjoyment. Another winner from Cheyenne Blue and I look forward to a further instalment.

I was given this ARC by Ylva Publishing in return for an honest review.
