A great review just in for ‘The Allure of the Night Train’

Another 5 Star review for ‘The Allure of the Night Train’:

“I’ll preface this review with that I don’t read much erotica, but when a friend of mine said she’d written some under a pseudonym and asked if I wanted to take a look, I of course said yes. And I’m so glad I did! The Allure of the Night Train by Pumpkin Spice is a collection of three sapphic, train-related short stories: The Driver, The Night Train, The Club Car. All are equally delicious but my favourite was the first one, The Driver with its sexy art museum theme. Although all three stories are hot with some sweetness, perfectly given consent, and interesting levels of spice, so you can’t go wrong with any of them. A great little read!”

Review of ‘The Trophy Wives Club’ by Ali Spooner

‘The Trophy Wives Club’ by Ali Spooner is a fun, sexy and empowering read. Lindy Fremont decides that the women of Atlanta need a very special type of club all to themselves. One where they’ll get a great workout in more ways than one. She recruits the woman who has been giving her the most wonderful massages every week for the past few years – and leaves it to her to staff it with a few of her friends. One of them is Luna, a hot stud who Marley is attracted to, but would never let her know. She’s the settling down type and Luna appears to be all for a good time and no commitment. Will that change as they spend more time together setting up the club?

Now, when I realised what kind of club this was I wasn’t sure what to think. But Ali Spooner allayed my fears. The women do what they do because they want to. It’s all about women and they are always in control.  It’s respectful. Within a few pages I knew this was a fantastic idea for a book, and the more I read, the more convinced I was. It is light-hearted and very hot and steamy. I really enjoyed it and was happy to find that this is part of a series – and one of my favourite authors, Annette Mori is writing the next one.

Review of ‘The Lucky One’ by R Byrne

I enjoy reading short stories and find that erotica works really well in this form. ‘The Lucky One’ is an erotic BDSM short story by new writer R. Byrne. This is one spankingly hot story. The author ramps up the tension and the heat level until the crescendo. She makes me believe in the passion between her characters and I’m left in no doubt that they know exactly what turns them on. A highly erotic story that made me want to read more from this particular author.

Review of ‘Running From Forever’ by K Aten

Wow! The heat was positively sizzling off the page. ‘Running From Forever’ has to be one of the hottest, most intensely erotic books I have ever read. The story of commitment-phobic singer Sarah and mysterious club-owner Keller is also a brilliant tale of love, longing and emotional fervour. It is an urban fantasy that veers very much into other genres – but it would be giving away too much to say which. I was completely bowled over by the slowly, skilfully built up story and it just got better and better as it went on. The relationship between Sarah and Keller was complicated – and the issue causing them problems was one that Sarah had to take her time coming to terms with. Her sister Annie was her rock and the interaction between the sisters was powerful and loving. Sarah’s bond with her was forged through tragedy and it was a major factor in every decision she had to make. But it was the chemistry between the two main characters that really gripped me. The sex was off-the-scale and one particular scene was so wonderfully envisaged that a cold shower will be in order after reading it. This is the first book I have read by K Aten, but it certainly will not be the last. I love her style and her skill at getting inside the minds of her characters. I can highly recommend ‘Running From Forever’.

Review of ‘Wild Rides: And Other Lesbian Erotic Adventures’ by Sacchi Green

Sacchi Green at her erotic best! The main thing I took away from this collection was the sheer high quality of the writing. Sacchi Green shows us that erotica can be skilfully and beautifully written. Her stories are imaginative, perceptive and varied. The sex is intensely erotic and the hottest one can imagine. She can surprise the reader, take them places they did not dare imagine. I especially enjoyed ‘Carved in Stone’, a prison story that slowly built to a highly-charged sexual encounter that was off-the-scale. ‘Jessebel’ intrigued and surprised me and was filled was such longing. ‘Gargoyle Lovers’ set in Paris was a fantastically frantic and desperate sexual encounter in a new place for lovers who know each other so well. I thoroughly enjoyed this anthology – but I wouldn’t expect anything else from Sacchi Green

Review of ‘Escape to Pleasure’ by Victoria Villasenor and Sandy Lowe

‘Escape to Pleasure’ is an enticing collection of erotic stories on the theme of travel. Victoria Villasenor and Sandy Lowe are skilled editors and have brought together a perfect mix of hot and steamy stories sure to please. I enjoyed all of the stories but I particularly enjoyed Aurora Rey’s ‘The Lodge’, as the cosy Winter setting contrasted so well with the heat of a very sexy story. Her characters interested me so much that I wouldn’t mind meeting them again. I also loved Brit Ryder’s ‘Mistakes Happen’. This tale of a luggage mix-up and the resulting bedroom antics was perfect. Her wickedly sexy al fresco encounter was truly sublime. But Jeannie Levig’s ‘A Fantasy Getaway’ was my favourite. It is set in a lesbian resort and is beautifully written. She ramps up the sexual tension like a pro. It is so, so well done and the heat is off the scale. I can highly recommend this anthology.

Review of ‘Broken Vows’ by MJ Williamz

‘Broken Vows’ is a hot story of conflicted nun meets butch construction worker. It is jam-packed with steamy sexual encounters. If you enjoy erotica and erotic romance then this certainly ticks the boxes. It’s an erotic story written by a woman for other women loving women. Sister Mary Margaret has a lot of trouble keeping to that pesky vow of chastity. When she meets parishioner Alex she can’t seem to help herself. What starts off as just sex seems to delve a little deeper. This is a book to squirrel yourself away with for some me time.
