Review of ‘Loving Blue in Red States: East Tennessee’ by Anne Hagan

Can we accept change? Is Grace willing to take a chance, to alter her carefully laid plans for something she could never have anticipated.  That’s the question that emerges from Grace and Sam’s story in East Tennessee. I liked this story and it made me really think. It was a sweet story of two people who meet unexpectedly again, and are faced with surprises and forced to decide what they really want. I also enjoy finding out about new places through this series. It has taken me all over the USA and opened my eyes.

Review of ‘Wall South Dakota – Loving Blue in Red States’ by Anne Hagan

This story hit just the right notes romantically for me. Heidi is a photojournalist on assignment and is driven from Pierre Airport by Dani, a woman who ultimately makes her rethink a lot of things in her life. Dani is fun and loves to tease but has a heart of gold. Heidi seems more reserved and takes her time working out what she wants. I loved the interaction between them. The setting was wonderfully described and made me want to visit sometime! ‘Wall, South Dakota’ is a welcome addition to the series and I felt it spoke more to me as the characters were mature women I could identify with.  I really enjoyed it and look forward to further stories.

Review of ‘Loving Blue in Red States -Perryville Missouri’by Anne Hagan

 

This is the fourth short story in Anne Hagan’s ‘Loving Blue in Red States’ series and a really great read. Geologist Bethany French ends up working with younger woman Dr Renn Sowell in the caves of Missouri. Bethany has avoided relationships for years and Renn is hiding her sexuality from her right-wing father. Can they get past these obstacles and be together? I found the caving aspect of the story fascinating and well described. I would love to find out more about these characters as this story piqued my interest in them. The whole series has me hooked and I eagerly anticipate each new one.
